摘要
L-Tryptophan (LTN) single crystals have been grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. The cell dimensions were obtained by single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) study. The functional groups have been confirmed using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The placement of protons was identified from Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR) spectral analysis. The optical studies have been carried out and it was found that the tendency of transmission observed from the specimen with respect to the wavelength of light is practically more suitable for opto-electronic applications. Thermo gravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis were carried out to determine the thermal properties of the as grown crystal.
