摘要
In this paper, we present a novel on-chip interface for event based sensor and spiking neuromorphic processing. More specifically, we design an on-chip interface for converting the output events of a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) based event sensor into Temporally Coded Spikes (TCS) enabling on-chip processing with integrated spiking neuromorphic system. The interface has been implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process. Results show great potential for the proposed on-chip interface to reduce the gap between event based sensor and real time processing with spiking neuromorphic processor. The interface enables a complete sensing systems with processors implemented in a single chip resulting in a compact sensing system with high speed and energy efficient real time processing suitable for health, autonomous vehicles, and security applications.
