摘要：
Transplantation is well established to be a therapeutic option in the treatment of end-stage organ failure worldwide. Advances in understanding the immune mechanism of allograft rejection and the development of new immunosuppressive drugs contributed to the widespread success of clinical transplantation during the last decade. In this review the mode of action of the immunosuppressants azathioprine, cyclosporine, FK506/tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil is presented in context with evidence from controlled clinical trials in the field of renal transplantation.
