摘要
We developed a new radial tilt detection method which enables highly accurate detection and closed loop control for existing optical pickups. This method detects the radial tilt angle between the objective lens and the signal recording surface of the optical disk by comparing the phase of the wobble signal from the main spot with that from each side spot. In this paper, we describe the detection principle and the implementation of this method and show some experimental results from DVD-R disk and DVD+R disk. We consider that this method is applicable to other optical disk formats using wobbled groove with constant wavelength.
