The paper examines the current relation between feminism and literature, focusing on Anglo-American and French examples. It also focuses on Montenegrin women authors and their relation to feminism, feminist literary theory and criticism and their status in the literary canon, with many examples of how to improve the current situation that seems to be characterized by the residues of patriarchal and misogynistic cultural and literary policy.
