Scientific and technological progress has injected new vitality into ideological and political education, and scene teaching has become a hot topic for research. Traditional ideological and political education modes focus on teaching and listening, but teaching efficiency is low, which cannot effectively stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. With the rapid development of science and technology, teachers have the ability to use various tools to create effective scene teaching methods for young people. This study defined situational teaching as well as ideological and political education. Then, the theoretical bases of theories of the ideological and political education and of cognitive processing of modern information that were applied to situational teaching were studied. In the ideological and political teaching of a class in a school, the videos that were related to the courses of ideological and political teaching materials were shot. Students and teachers interacted by participating in the class. After a period of teaching, the effect of the situational teaching was investigated through a questionnaire survey. Results of the questionnaire show that the appropriate situational teaching model can improve the learning initiative and enthusiasm of students. These students will achieve a better learning goal.
