摘要
Signal integrity becomes a challenging task in hard disk drive interconnections because of an increase in data rate in hard disk. Generally electromagnetic coupling occurs between a magnetic recording head and read/write driver on hard disk drive interconnects (HDDIs). In this paper, a novel decoupling and crosstalk reduction structure is proposed. The stubby microstrip lines are proposed for multi-gigabit/second parallel links on a hard disk drive interconnects. The performance of the proposed structure is studied in terms of scattering parameters of coupling and reflection which are obtained with the assistance of Ansoft HFSS simulation tool. The simulation results show that the proposed interconnect structure reduces near end crosstalk by 3 dB and far end crosstalk by 6 dB than conventional grooving scheme. Thus, the proposed stubby microstrip lines have strengthened the immunity of the interconnects in the high speed hard disk drive.
