摘要：

Beginning in the late 1980s, rapid prototyping has now become an advanced manufacturing technique that integrates mechanics, electronics, optics, materials science, etc. This paper firstly introduces the working principle of rapid prototyping, then it gives several rapid prototyping techniques available at present, and points out their strengths and limitations respectively, Finally it discusses the future application of rapid prototyping.
