Stress-state dependence of work-hardening behavior in aluminium alloy sheet

AA8014 aluminium sheets were tested in uniaxial. equi-biaxial and plane-strain tension at an almost constant strain rate of 2 x 10(-3) s(-1). Attention was focused on two main industrial conditions of the material, these being representative of the materials that could be processed by the commercial batch-annealing process (slow heating, long tune) or by a. continuous annealing process (fast heating. short time). The influence of the stress-state on the work-hardening behavior of the material and a comparison of work-hardening parameters under different deformation modes are discussed, The rate of work-hardening was studied for both conditions of the material under different stress-states, (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
