摘要
The study examines the predictive role of positive emotions in psychological capital, engagement and academic performance, in a sample of 1142 Chilean secondary school adolescents aged 14-17 (M=15.83; SD=1.78). For this purpose, the three psychological constructs were measured in the middle of a regular academic semester and then, at the end of that semester, the students' academic performance was recorded. Through the analysis of structural equations, the adjustment of a predictive model of latent variables was examined. The results show significant effects for the three dependent variables considered. The theoretical and practical implications of the results are discussed, the main limitations of the study are declared, and future directions of research are proposed.
