Power or Dominion? A Weberian Reading

摘要：
The article introduces to the labyrinth of the main translations of the German terms Macht, Herrschaft, Gewalt in the social and juridical sciences. A crucial problem for the translation of Weberian concepts too - from the beginning a difficult enterprise. The Author questions the opportunity of the new translation of Herrschaft with "dominio", by arguing that in doing so it results a loss rather than a win. It seems, however, as if the time were now ripe for a fuller discussion of the whole issue.
