摘要
This paper discusses the advances in programmable, testable high accuracy electronic detonator technology. The performance and safety benefits are discussed, as well as various case histories. The operation and safety of electronic detonator systems are required to meet rigid safety standards and withstand the demanding environment of in-field applications. These requirements and field applications are discussed. The case histories document the field implementation of high accuracy detonators in mining applications as it relates to vibration control, fragmentation and productivity. These applications include large-scale casting shots and quarry blasts. These tests were performed with a high standard of field controls and quantified for performance.
