摘要
CoFe2O4 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using cobalt and iron nitrate, sucrose, and olive leaf extract by the sol-gel auto-combustion method and used to evaluate their magnetic properties. The synthesis method used in this study was eco-friendly, simple, and inexpensive. The effect of using different amounts of plant extract as a complexing agent on the structure, morphology, and magnetic properties of the final product were discussed. Synthesized NPs were characterized by various techniques to investigate their size, shape, crystallinity, and magnetic properties. Data analysis of experimental results revealed that the generated CoFe2O4 NPs are crystalline, corresponding to the cubic phase, and with an average crystallite size of 15-30 nm. Analysis of the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) was carried out to measure the magnetic properties of particles. The results showed that the saturation magnetization and coercivity of the final product decrease as the amount of plant extract increases.
