摘要
Kinetic studies of Se75Te25-xSnx (x = 2, 4, 6, and 10) chalcogenide glasses are made using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Glasses heated with different heating rates in DSC show the glass transition and crystallization region for all the concentration of Sn. It is interesting to note that x = 4 and 6 in Se75Te25-xSnx show double crystallization region. The activation energies of glass transition and crystallization have been determined from the heating rate dependence of the peak glass transition and peak crystallization temperatures using the Kissinger approach. Glass transition activation energy (E) and crystallization activation energy (E-p) are found to be minimal for x = 4, due to maximally crosslinking structures, which make the chalcogenide glass most stable at this composition. Besides, T-c - T-g is also found to be maximal for x = 4 confirming the highest stability of this glass.
