摘要
Reliable spectrum sensing can be provided with the determination of the presence of licensed or primary user (PU), which is highly necessary for ignoring interruption from secondary bodies or users (SU). Spectrum sensing allocates temporary access of the unused spectral resources of primary (licensed) owners to the secondary (unlicensed) users. As the Cognitive radio environment considers some level of the noise correlation. It is equally essential to have trusted spectrum access methods for low signal to noise ratio (SNR) environments. To model this problem, a Locally Optimum (LO) detection of random signals in presence of correlated noise model for fading channels is used. The performance parameters of LO detection are measured using probabilities of detection and false alarm by performing averages over channel gain h. On analyzing, the simulation results of the LO detection gives better performance than the existing Energy detector.
