摘要
This study focuses on the effects of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) on the power system network. PHEVs are expected to be commercialized in near future. PHEVs will introduce a new type of load with extraordinary characteristics than the regular household loads. PHEVs may have significant effects on the existing power system networks, if they do not charged during off-peak load periods. A new peak demand period, distribution line capacities, electricity market prices, and power system level problems due to the harmonics and reactive power problems associated with PHEV chargers are the possible issues that may cause problems in the power systems. A new peak demand period, the need for additional distribution lines, additional harmonics and reactive power injection are among the issues that need be investigated due to integration of PHEVs. In this study, stability of a distribution power network integrated with PHEVs is analyzed. In this study it is been assumed that PHEVs do not necessarily need to be charge during off-peak load demand times..
