Kirkwood-Buff parameters for the binary mixtures and determination of partial structure factor in the long wavelength limit

摘要
Kirkwood-Buff parameters for some toluene containing binary mixtures have been calculated with the help of thermodynamic quantities like partial molar volume, isothermal compressibility, etc,These parameters are used to show that spatial correlations of like molecules are preferred over correlations of unlike molecules and vice-versa in the mixtures. The results are compared with the help of partial structure factors determined primarily by the non-zero interaction between the components in the mixture and found to be satisfactory. Partial molar volumes and isothermal compressibilities have been calculated from the hard sphere mixture theory.
