Cooperativity effects between non-covalent interactions: Are they important for Z-DNA stability?

摘要
We have analyzed the non-covalent interactions observed in the Z-DNA structure by examining structures retrieved from the nucleic database (NDB) and by using high level ab initio calculations (RI-MP2/aug-cc-pVTZ). We have found interesting cooperativity effects between the non-covalent interactions involved, which are important in giving stability to the Z-DNA. (C) 2009 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
