摘要
This paper proposes a Permanent Magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) coupled wind energy conversion system (WECS). An exemplary illustration of a permanent magnet synchronous generator-fed with applied pitch angle control and gear drive control to acquire actual performances and compare the extracted power. The operation of WECS is a difficult task as its operation depends on many factor. One of the factor that affect the WECS system is availability of wind resources so overcome this problem and to make wind energy conversion systems more cost-effective, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) has been implemented to achieve maximum power. In this manuscript, the system has been implemented and a comparison has been done using Incremental Conductance (INC), Perturb & Observe (P&O), and Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA) MPPT techniques to improve system efficacy. System results have been simulated and validated in MATLAB/Simulink.
