摘要
The Digital Humanities have been the subject of intense debate since the supposed birth, in 2004. Reflexions have arisen on the scope of the concept, its relevance in the academy, its saving role for the apparently decadent Humanities, the impact of digital in research, the expansion of collaborative and interdisciplinary work, among other aspects. The debate continues, alive, as can be seen from the titles that appear every year on these themes. However, perhaps one of the most relevant themes to leverage all the perspectives mentioned, is precisely the least debated: the role of teaching digital skills in the disciplines of the Humanities in the universities. In Portugal this debate is still starting. Through an overview of the features of what has been this type of teaching in the last three decades in Portugal, with a focus on History, we hope to contribute to this debate that we believe is crucial for a definitive assertion of the Digital Humanities in the academy. We argue that without this teaching it will be more difficult to develop the field and the community that sustains it.
