The enthalpy of solution of glycine in n-propanol-water and iso-propanol-water mixtures at 298.15 K

摘要
The enthalpies of solution (Delta(sol)Hdegrees) of glycine in n-propanol-water and iso-propanol-water mixtures were determined calorimetrically at alcohol concentrations x(2) = 0-0.3 mole fractions and 298.15 K. The enthalpies of solvation (Delta(solv)Hdegrees) and glycine transfer from water to mixed solvents (Delta(tr)Hdegrees) were calculated. The Delta(sol)Hdegrees =f(x(2)) dependences had extrema. The enthalpy coefficients of pair interactions between cylycine C, and alcohol molecules were calculated. They were positive and increased in the series n-propanol, iso-propanol, ethanol. The energies of H-bonds formed between solution components were estimated using the AMI semiempirical quantum-chemical method.
