Behavior of the sludge of phosphating coating process in the production of Portland cement clinker.

摘要
The objective of the present work is to study in a laboratory apparatus the effect of the additions of phosphating coating process sludge in the process of clinker production. A mixture of raw clinker materials and increasing concentrations of phosphating sludge produced the samples analyzed. These mixtures were burned at 1,450 degrees C for 10 min in an electric furnace. The sludge used contains basically water and ferrous and zinc phosphates besides miners elements like Na, K, S, Pb, Cr and Cu. The raw mix used was obtained in a Brazilian cement plant. The results showed an incorporation of Zn in the range of 75%, without any prejudice of the clinkerization process. Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure (TCLP) tests, performed according to the Brazilian standards, do not suggest any risk of contamination of environment, due the addition to 5.0% of sludge.
