摘要
The large conversion rate boost converter is widely applied in uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and in fuel, embedded, and photovoltaic systems. Its most important feature is the conversion efficiency, followed by the converter size and cost. However, disadvantages that come out when large conversion ratio is required are: near unity duty cycles lead to difficulties in the operation at higher switching frequencies; also the boost switch suffer from both high voltage and current stresses, which leads to high power losses, independently of its operation in either continuous conduction mode or borderline conduction mode. The dc-dc converter investigated, based on the inductor split, reduces switching power losses and reduces the conduction power losses. Also, the borderline conduction mode is investigated and a control strategy is conceived from one-cycle control technique. Finally, a ZVS/ZCS soft-switching circuit with regenerative clamping action is implemented. Simulation and experimental results validate the theory.
