WHAT METHODOLOGY DOES THE AVANT-GARDE NEED?

The methodological position of the author is that to consider the avant-garde in systematic connection of its different levels' representations-artistic, scientific, social, ideological, etc., which form the mutual cultural text of the epoch having some common epistemological basis. Elements, composing this text, in spite of their belonging to very different strata, spheres, levels of the living continuum, show the evident structural intercorrelation of its meanings and images, that let us to suppose the presence of common ideosphere and the single syntax, which governs this cultural text. The author acts on the premise that the combination of contrasts on the principal of complementarity distinguishes the avant-garde poetics; almost all main categories and meanings of poetics and the ontology of avant-garde co-relay upon inter-complementarity. In this type of system, the implicit occurrence of one or several signs of integrity in some artistic-ideological discourse is obligatory recompensed by intensification of its other functions. The problematics, devoted to the possibility and necessity to research any separate type of a system from the positions of an immanent criteria system, has become more actual recently in philosophy reflection. The idea isn't new-even Alexander Pushkin expressed it in his own way in the famous aphorism. A modern researcher has to overcome the inclination to the tradition of "realistic method" as pseudo academic uncritical dogmatism. Especially it applies to phenomena of critical epoch-or conception, including the avant-garde phenomenon in its integrity, as a methodology of its research, are practically absent. Meanwhile, the historical avant-garde of the early XX century is a global artistic-ideological complex, making systemic integrity of a distinct type. Accordingly, avant-garde is to be considered as text of culture, carrying its own axiology and implying its own measure of aesthetic. Besides the main manifestations of avant-garde consciousness have inner duality-in compliance with the duality of avant-garde world picture, its utopian-eschatological dominant.
