摘要
Eight patients with nine femoral pseudoaneurysms were treated with 13 ultrasound-guided thrombin injections. Mean patient age was 3.3 years (range, 5 mo to 13.6 y), mean pseudoaneurysm diameter was 2.0 cm +/- 0.6, and mean thrombin dose was 119 IU (500 IU/mL +/- 116; 0.95 CI). Mean follow-up was 27 days (range, 7-420 d). Eight pseudoaneurysms were successfully treated, and one failed to close as a result of arterial wall disease. No complications were observed. The approach used at the authors' pediatric institution resulted in safe and effective treatment of femoral pseudoaneurysms.
