摘要
The simple solvent free green synthetic approach is adopted to synthesize SnO2/TiO2 nanomaterials, which have been the focus of many promising applications due to their availability and low cost. As-synthesized nanomaterials further characterized by using powder XRD, UV, FTIR, FESEM & HRTEM. The particle size and the morphology of SnO2/TiO2 nanocrystals have been clearly observed by FESEM and HRTEM respectively. The optical bandgap of the prepared SnO2/TiO2 nanostructures were calculated and found to be 2.8 eV. In the photocatalytic investigations of Methylene Green (MG) dye degradation was done with the effect of binary metal oxide under visible light and the recyclability of the catalyst was evaluated. The photocatalytic nature of SnO2/TiO(2 )nanostructures could be attributed to the combined effect of reduced excitons recombination rate, improved surface area and superior crystallinity were reported in detail.
