摘要
In this paper, an adaptive protection structure based on multi - agent systems is presented. Short circuit currents in microgrids (MGs) are dependent on the uncertainty of distributed generation sources especially renewable sources and operation modes (connected or islanded mode). There are many challenges in MG protection studies considering the issues. It is impossible to use the conventional relays in MG structure due to that the short circuit current is directly depend on MG. In this study, an adaptive smart relay based on multi-agent systems is introduced which, based on received data from other factors, detect MG topology smartly and update settings and coordination issues of the relay according to the MG topology. Fast operation and high reliability are the main advantages of the proposed protection system structure.
