摘要
The room- and high-temperature strength of Nb-Mo-Pi ternary alloys consisting of a bcc solid solution were studied by compression tests up to 1873 K. It is found that the compressive strength increases with Mo and W additions due to solid solution strengthening, and the effect of the strengthening is retained to very higher temperature. On the other hand, the compressive ductility decreases with increasing Mo+W content. Alloys with Mo+W content less than 25 mol% possess both high temperature compressive strength and large room temperature ductility.
