Crystal structure of dihydrate of 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenylhydrazone of pyridine-4-carbohydrazide

摘要
The crystal structure of Dihydrate of 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenylhydrazone of pyridine-4-carbohydrazide(I) has been determined by X-ray structure analysis. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, with cell parameters a = 9.115(4)Angstrom, b = 16.305(3)Angstrom, c = 11.750(5)Angstrom, beta = 91.43(4)degrees. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined to R = 0.0624. The hydrazine moiety forms an extended chain with adjacent atoms and makes a dihedral angle of 4.5(2)degrees with the mean plane of the phenyl ring and 4.4(2)degrees with the pyridine ring. The molecules stacked in layers parallel to (010) plane are linked by O-H ... O and O-H ... N bonds due to intervening water molecules.
