摘要：
This article compares conventional indices of contractile function in the right and left ventricles. The low operating pressures and complex geometry complicate evaluation of right ventricular function. However, when the characteristics of its vascular load are taken into account, the complex right ventricular chamber has pump properties that are similar to the high pressure left ventricular chamber.
