摘要
The article focuses on a decentralized variable structure control approach to the load frequency control problem. Proposed control scheme is based on the design of proportional plus integral type switching function which in turn effectively reduces the effect of constant disturbances in the input channel and specifically parameter perturbation that satisfies the matching conditions. The proposed decentralized control is more practical than the centralized control scheme for this problem and ensures to attenuate the frequency and tie-line power deviations to zero due to load changes and different operating conditions. The performance offered by the proposed technique is more tangible for a wide range of parameter variations and it is studied through simulation results by considering a two-area power system model.
