摘要
In this age of technology, security is one of the key issues. Also, face recognition is a significant part of the purpose of security and surveillance. Our goal is to explore the implementation of a Raspberry Pi-based face recognition system using conventional face detection and recognition techniques for resolving security issues. For face detection and recognition, the Eigen face method is used, and to implement the steps of this method, the Haar cascade classifier algorithm is also used here. This paper aims at taking face recognition to the next level. So, using this system, the owner/authority can store audio messages and text messages for anyone. After accurate recognition, the system provides an audio message to the recognized person. At the same time, it can also send text messages to the owner/authority's smart phone or any other mobile device that is recognized. With the use of the Raspberry Pi kit, we aim at making the system cost-effective and easy to use with high performance. Tests and proper analysis of the system were done to verify the efficiency of the system.
