THEMATIC ANALYSIS OF MATHEMATICS EDUCATION RESEARCH IN SPAIN THROUGH THE SEIEM SYMPOSIA

摘要
In this paper we present the results of a thematic analysis of the papers published in the proceedings of the Spanish Research Society in Mathematics Education (Sociedad Espanola de Investigacion en Educacion Matematica -SEIEM-) between 1997 and 2008. These papers were coded with a mathematics education specific conceptual classification. The coding was analyzed in terms of frequencies and percentages. The results show that the main foci of research during this period were secondary education, school mathematics and problem solving.
