Quantum and classical correspondance for a lossy transmission line

摘要
The voltage and the current of a lossy transmission line are described by using the damped wave equation. We derived the quantum mechanical solution of the system by making use of the invariant operator. We confirmed that the quantum-mechanical energy expectation values decrease with time in the same fashion as the classical energy. The uncertainty relation in the coherent state is the same as the minimum uncertainty relation in the number state.
