摘要:
A simple method for the determination of isocinchomeronic acid (ICA) in nicotinic acid (NA) using differential pulse polarography (DFP) technique has been developed. A 0.1 N HCl has been used as a supporting electrolyte. The minimum detection limit of the method is 1 ppm. A method for the simultaneous determination of ECA and NA is also described. The method has been applied to commercial samples of nicotinic acid containing isocinchomeronic acid as an impurity and is useful in the quality assurance of nicotinic acid.
