摘要
Density, arrangement, and edge/screw character of dislocations, as well as the size of the coherently diffracting particles, are measured by analysis of X-ray diffraction line profiles on an Ti-IF steel. Specimens were cold rolled up to 90% strain and annealed up to different temperatures. It is shown that lattice orientation dependent measurement can be performed if the sample is carefully oriented on the diffractometer according to the crystallographic texture. During annealing, particule size is found to decrease slightly first before the subsequent increase, probably due to the formation of small angle tilt boundaries. The dislocation density (and related stored energy) is larger in the F (111) < 112 > orientation than in A (100) < 110 >. Orientation F contains more dislocations with screw character and therefore it recovers at lower temperature than orientation A.
