摘要
The present study aims to evaluate the toxic effect of cadmium oxide on the liver structure of mice. Male Balb/c mice weighing 36-40 g, 80 days old, are divided into five groups. The first group is given only tap water as a control and groups 2, 3, 4, and 5 are treated orally cadmium oxide in adult mice every day for 20 days, in gavage (6.3 mg/kg body wt, 12.8 mg/kg body wt, 17.4 mg/kg body wt, and 80 mg/kg body wt Vitamin E +17.4 mg/kg body wt cadmium oxide). There are marked differences in changes among different doses concentration of cadmium oxide, while there is no changes in treatment with Vitamin E + cadmium, the value are analyzed using t-test. In conclusion, cadmium oxide could be prevented by co-administration of antioxidant Vitamin E.
