Municipal Environmental Education Center in the National Park of Tijuca: dialogues based on a minicourse for the environmental teacher training.

This article aimed to investigate the performance of a short course aimed at the environmental education of teachers in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The minicourse was offered by the Municipal Environmental Education Center of the Tijuca National Park, which carries out educational activities within the Tijuca National Park. The data was collected from questionnaires with open and closed questions, and were analized in the light of Content Analysis. The results showed that the teachers had different college formation, were inserted in different regions of the state and started to introduce in the classroom practices that was discussed during the course. This indicates the importance of the Center for continuing teacher education and that initiatives of this type should be encouraged in other protected areas.
