Synthesis and characterization of triorganotin esters of heteroaromatic carboxylic acid and crystal structure of nBu3SnO2CCH2C8H6N and (PhCH2)3SnO2CC5H4N

摘要
Reaction of triorganotin chloride with 2-furanyl, 2-furanvingl, 2-(5-terbutyl)furanyl, 2-thiophenyl, 2-pyridinyl, 3-pyridinyl, 4-pyridinyl, 3-indolyl, 3-indolmethyl and 3-indolpropyl carboxylates in 1:1 stoichiometry yields triorganotion. esters of heteroaromatic carboxylic acid R3SnO2CR'(R=Bu-n, PhCH2). All compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and MS. The crystal structure of tributyltin ester of 3-indolmethyl carboxylic acid and tribenzyltin ester of 4-pyridinyl carboxylic acid are determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In the crystals of tributyltin ester of 3-indolmethyl carboxylic acid, the tin atoms are rendered five-coordinate in a trigonal bipyramidal structure by bridging carboxyl group. The resulting structure is a linear polymer containing two different Sn-O bond lengths of 2.194(3) and 2.522(3) Angstrom. In the crystals of tribenzyltin ester of 4-pyridinyl carboxylic acid, the tin atoms are rendered five-coordinate in a trigonal bipyramidal structure by coordinating with 4-pyridinyl carboxlate group. The resulting structure is a linear polymer containing Sn-O bond lengths of 2.142(2) Angstrom and Sn-N bond lengthes of 2.563(4) Angstrom.
