in the tennis athletic competition, the players are suffering enormous spiritual and mental stress and are required to overcome and control the constantly changing emotional experience in the game, therefore the tennis players shall have targeted mental trainings, which helps them to keep a good psychological state. Meanwhile, they could play their technique and tactics well. Numerous experience also proves that if tennis players don't have good mental qualities as foundation but only with a technical training level, their competitiveness is always low. Thus psychological training in athletic competitions is very important. Starting from the function of psychological training to tennis players nowadays, this paper discusses the implementation of psychological training on tennis players before, in the middle and after competition.
