摘要
In this paper a wideband millimeter wave (mmWave) antenna with out-of-band rejection is presented for 5G applications. The antenna consists of bow-tie shaped radiating element and the ground plane has open ended slot consisting of exponential tapers and circular slot at the center. The bow-tie shaped radiator is fed by a 50 ohm microstrip line. The proposed antenna has an overall size of 16mm x 24mm x 7 mm and in measurement the return loss of the antenna is <-10 dB over the range from 22.2 GHz to 28.9 GHz. The gain of the antenna is further improved by using metal plate at the back of the antenna. Moreover, the antenna also shows good out-of-band rejection capability which reduces noise and interference. These characteristics make it suitable for 5G applications.
