摘要：

Over the past several years, there have been numerous changes in the guidelines for screening mammography. In addition, different societies have released guidelines with variance in the recommendations of age to initiate and frequency of imaging. The current recommendations as well as the importance of screening mammography for early detection and survival are discussed.
