EXTRACTION, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF HYPSIZIGUS MARMOREUS POLYSACCHARIDES

摘要
Hypsizigus marmoreus has long been used as folk food and medicine material. Nevertheless, detailed information about the structure and biological activity of the polysaccharides from H. marmoreus (HMP) was rarely reported In this study, we optimized the extraction conditions of HMP, with the extraction temperature of 90 degrees C, extraction time of 2.0 h and ratio of raw material to water of 1:80. Then the primary structure and morphology of HMP were respectively investigated by high performance gel permeation chromatography (HPGPC), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results suggested that HMP was semi-crystalline or amorphous substance with the average molecular weight range of 1.30x10(4)similar to 4.33x10(5) Da, and was composed by pyranose form of sugar residues. The surface of HMP presented the cluster shape, and possessed relative uniformity in size and pattern. Antioxidant activity results suggested that HMP had the significant scavenging capacities on ABTS and hydroxyl radicals, as well as the obvious reducing power in vitro. The present study indicated that HMP was a promising natural antioxidant in the fields of food and medicine.
