摘要
Conceptual design is the most important stage of the whole product development life-cycle process. But it is often referred to as the "Fuzzy Front End" because of the uncertainties during this stage. In order to eliminate the fuzziness and seize the innovative opportunities, information technology support is needed. this dissertation introduces set-based concurrent engineering and knowledge-based engineering as the IT support for the Fuzzy Front End.
