摘要
A PID controller tuning technique using finite number of process frequency response points and a nonlinear optimization method is described. For single-input, single-output systems, a weighted least squares error between desired and obtainable closed loop responses for the process with additional penalties on violations of stability margins is minimized to tune the controller. Preliminary extension of the method to multi-input, multi-output systems is shown.
