摘要
In this article we made a comparative approach based on the theme of death from a selection of poems by Manuel Bandeira (Recife, 1886 - Rio de Janeiro, 1968) and the work Da morte: odes minimas (1980), by Hilda Hilst (Jau, 1930 - Campinas, 2004), observing the relations with the western poetic tradition and the rupture propositions that both undertake, considering Bandeira as lighthouse and the developments proposed by the youngest poet Hilda. Using the contribution of Bourdieu (1989, 2004); Perrone-Moises (1990); Mbembe (2018); Aries (2000); Sena (1961) and Grando (2014) we observe the possible dialogues between the work of the modernist and that of Hilst published in the second half of the 20th century. Still, we highlight the choice of poets for their secluded lives, entirely dedicated to literature, reveals the awareness of refusal to alienate.
