"Taiga Leningrad women": the everyday life of women in Angarsk in 1950s-1960s

摘要
The authors analyze the history of the everyday life of the inhabitants of the Soviet Angarsk, built in the 1950s-1960s in Eastern Siberia according to the project of Leningrad architects as an exemplary city. Analyzing the history of the creation of the sociocultural environment of the city, landscaping and landscaping, they show the ways of forming a new urban environment in which the daily life of the workers of the Soviet petrochemical industry unfolded, the features of everyday life in the new city in terms of work, leisure, raising children. Particular emphasis is placed on the reflections of Soviet filmmakers, who chose Angarsk as a typical city of post-war Siberia, preserved on film the details of women's everyday life in the new city, as well as on the perception of the "American threat" during the "Cold War". The conducted research confirmed the hypothesis that the everyday life of Angarsk residents was part of the Soviet gender project.
