摘要：

The various aspects of the refractory heat insulating materials, developed at the Borovichi Refractory Kombinat Joint Stock Co, are discussed. The materials are free of fiberglass components, which makes them environment-friendly for further processing. The materials display no phase transformation over the operating temperature range, which provides their thermal stability and volume constancy. The materials can be used in a variety of functional applications, not only as heat insulators but also as load-bearing components for the refractory lining and structural elements of furnaces.
