摘要
In this paper a novel operational amplifier (OPA) voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with inductive feedback is analyzed. The VCO comprises positive and negative feedback implemented through two inductors. Mathematical equations for determining the oscillation voltage amplitude and start-up conditions are derived. The designed VCO operates in UHF range from 739.7 MHz to 1.003 GHz with maximum phase noise of -144.7 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from carrier frequency and total harmonic distortion (THD) less than -45 dB.
