摘要
We present a study of the spin-Peierls (SP) transition in the (TMTTF)(2)PF6 organic conductor by elastic neutron scattering. The (1/2, 1/2, 1/2) superstructure reflection associated with the SP transition is clearly detected up to 18 K. The intensity of the satellite reflection is particularly small compared to other similar organic systems. Several explanations are proposed to account for the weakness of the three-dimensional SP amplitude of distortion in the (TMTTF)(2)PF6 system.
